Well, my body is still trolling me, but I'm starting to get used to it, I think. In any case, while the weekend was up and down and up and down, the first day of spring was pretty okay. I went out for a long walk on that day, headed down by the river. Things are starting to melt pretty nicely, though there's still a bit of mud in the brush, and it's still awfully muddy all over the place. But, when things start to clean up, it'll look mighty nice. At any rate, it's better than what went on back home - Fort McMurray got a few inches of snow on that day, according to my dad. Compared to that, Saskatoon sounds pretty nice, muddy or not.

Looking up through the trees on one of the streets near my house. Wow, lookit that blue sky. It was pretty gorgeous that day, I must say.

There aren't many hills in this city, considering it's Saskatchewan. Here's one of the few, though, looking down at the Saskatchewan river and downtown. Even though I've lived here a few years, I find it crazy how far you can see. Not anything like back home.

This house is right up on top of that hill, with the back facing toward the river. Bet that's an awesome view. I don't know what it looks like inside, but I bet it's pretty nice. And the backyard is huge, with so many trees in it! I love this house; wish I lived in it -- well, if I was rich, and could hire someone to keep the house up, and keep the gardens nice. Gorgeous though it is, that house is just too big for one person like me.

Just some graffiti on an electricalbox, and a weird poster that I see put up all over the place. I don't get it. Any ideas?

Another poster, on the other side of the box. I occasionally see silly stuff like this up around in the most random places. Stuff like this is part of why I love Saskatoon.

View across the river, next to the Broadway Bridge. I wanted to go down onto the bank, but it's still all muddy and icy in there, and I figured it wouldn't be safe.

More of the river, this time under the bridge. I find it amazing how blue the water looked that day.

And closer. It's always seemed strange to me that the river hasn't frozen up in winter. Only half of it freezes, the other half free-going. Back home, the river freezes completely, and in the spring it all breaks, and the ice heaves up onto the bank in enormous chunks.

----

Back in early October, I took some other photos, but never got around to editing 'em. Well, might as well put them up for comparison!

Another street view, this time with leaves. It's gorgeous down in there, though it does make a huge mess when all the leaves get dropped.

It's amazing how full of life everything was. I hope it'll be looking like that soon.

And across the river, this time from the opposite bank. If you look at the top of the hill right in the centre, you can see the back of that house I'm in love with.

And the riverbank again, this time from the top of the Broadway Bridge.

I really should go around to more different areas to take pictures. The thing is, though, I tend to feel a little silly when I do it. Saskatoon isn't exactly a tourist destination, to put it mildly, so someone going around with a camera is a little bit weird - especially if they're doing it in a residential area.

Urgh, I really should be in bed now, because I have an appointment in the morning. I'm not sleepy at all, though. Just my luck.
