Ohhh my god. Okay.

I turned on my work computer on Thursday morning, all ready to go, and discovered... that everything was a mess. Utter chaos. Days behind in the processing, and what was done was incomplete. I felt like the guy in that gif who comes in with pizza and everything's on fire.

Going to go in on Saturday for some OT (not as scheduled, I might add) which will probably be enough to take care of the remaining loose ends, but damn. I should be able to be gone for three weekdays without the whole department falling apart.

This does not bode well for future time off.

And then. Then! Another stressful but unrelated thing!

There's a cyber scam going around - I don't know the details, but it seems to be a combination of spoofing + the Gift Card scam. Anyway, someone seems to be spoofing my parents' email and sending this scammy stuff to a bunch of people.

I've been working in my parents' basement (they have a proper ergonomic computer desk; I do not) so I had to deal with a few calls from their friends/relatives on the landline. And where were my parents in all this? Out of town!

I'd like to run some diagnostics on their computer and make sure it doesn't have something nasty on there, not to mention change their password just in case, but of course, they took the laptop with them. The cabin does not have internet, so probably this all won't get any worse, but. Still.

I called them up - they were aware of the problem - and was like, "Uhhh, when were you planning to come home?"

"Oh, I don't know, sweetie, maybe Tuesday~" Totally not taking this seriously at all.

(Cue internal screaming) щ(ಠ﹏ಠщ)

So, any plans for the weekend have been well and thoroughly defenestrated, not to mention I'm going to be a stressed-out mess until all of this is properly taken care of. Bloody hell!
