Not all "opinions" are okay.

Homophobia is not okay. The belief that people who are not straight are wrong, unclean, or inherently bad is not just an "opinion". It is homophobia.

Not all beliefs are valid. Not all beliefs are okay for a person to have. "Opinions" like the above are what lead to situations where people are assaulted, even killed for no reason other than being gay or even just being suspected of being gay. This happens even in "safe" countries like Canada and the United States.

If you think anti-gay sentiment of any kind is "just an opinion", and that it's okay for anyone to have that opinion, please let me know so I can remove you from both my friends list and my life.

Yeah, I mean, my first instinct is usually "live and let live", but I can't really see "letting live" when it means that more people are going to be hurt somehow if I don't TRY to educate someone about how they are wrong. I don't understand why so many people are either incapable of, or choose not to comprehend this logic. I guess some people are no longer worth talking to nor hanging out with. I know how it feels, because I hardly spent more time with some of my 'friends', for not long ago coming out as Bisexual and almost all of my family-members, including my parents deeply LOATH over homosexuality, yeah everything that is not straight. Mind you, I'm their only child and if they found out... gosh I can't imagine their reaction...

Ugh, family can make things so hard. Mine aren't so bad, thankfully, but still not entirely accepting... it really sucks that some people have family who are not accepting of it at all. :( Because someone can always choose their friends, but family is different.
