Today we worked on turnovers into a triangle choke.

The process the instructor taught was very fiddly; it involved grabbing the skirt of the gi in order to trap one of the hands, then grabbing the opponent's other hand. And this is all after you have flipped them over, while they are partially held but not yet in the choke. It's too much faffing around for my taste; plus, depending on the opponent and your own flexibility, might be impossible to reach.

We also did some defending; mostly concentrated on keeping the arms tucked in tight while in turtle as defense against getting rolled over.

Cutting my hair definitely helped with the groundwork.
