I'm assuming TN-sensei was sick, since he wasn't in.
I was sick all last week, so wasn't sure how this class would go, but it was pretty all right.
This was a newaza-focused day. We did a bunch of drills for groundwork. Then we worked on flipping someone over into a hold down. I can't remember if Ry-sensei mentioned the name - it was not a scissor sweep but similar idea.
We also did a drill in which one person is on top, and the person on the bottom has their leg trapped, and the top person has to get their leg free.
And then also a bit of randori. I did a round with M1, but after that I was very tired.
A training weekend has come up on my radar. It sounds like something I would theoretically be interested in, but it's in Edmonton. It would be hard to get down to the dojo where it's at. And also we would be sleeping overnight in the dojo, so I'd have to bring a sleeping bag in addition to my judo gear etc. So... sounds interesting but like, not sure if want.
