Attending: Me, Gr, Chr, No, and a couple of kids whose names I don't know. We also had a new guy whose name I didn't catch. TN-sensei instructing.

Today we did tai-otoshi. He emphasized that unlike with ippon-seoinage, the right foot needs to be placed nearest to your opponent's left (their left, the foot on your right) rather than centred. And, of course, the turn and also the bounce when going up.

I worked with the new guy. We practiced the tai-otoshi; we eventually got him throwing me on the crash mat a little. And after that we worked on breakfalls and forward rolls, because he found that difficult at the beginning and wasn't confident with it. I'm not sure if my teaching went well, but at least he was willing to try. I also showed him how to do a backward breakfall on the mat.

This was a very simple class, nothing special. Since the Edmonton International is coming up, I think sensei doesn't want to introduce anything new.
