Judo adventures 4.40

Attedning: Me, M1, Chr, Ma & Jo & Ge, Mo, Gr, Eth, Ed, Ver. TN-sensei instructing and Ry-sensei assisting.

Today was mostly conditioning and preparation for Alberta Winter Games (for those attending). This past weekend was the Rocky Mountain Shiai, and several people won medals. M1 earned 30 points toward his black belt. Pretty nice!

Partnered with Ed for the uchikomi section. That went pretty well.

About halfway through the class, much earlier than usual, it was switched to randori. TN-sensei said that anyone not interested in randori could do technique practice over in a smaller section of the mat. So I partnered with Chr to do some technique.

He's still a white belt, but I think he's catching on pretty well. We tried a few different throws.

It was actually a pretty good class, even if a bit unusual compared to the regular.
