Attending: Me, M1, Ed. TN-sensei instructing.

This was the last class I'll be attending before christmas. It was slightly earlier than usual due to being on holiday schedule.

Today we worked on armbar technique. I think M1 got more out of it than I did; he did mention that he was specifically looking to develop his knowledge of newaza for competition purposes.

One thing TN-sensei menioned that I think will be really useful is that, when you are leaning back, you don't just lean back. He recommends just dropping to your left shoulder onto the ground. That way, the opponent doesn't really have much time to react; it's a short movement that will break whichever counter-grip they are attempting.
