Judo adventures 4.29

Attending: Me, M1, Si, Ed, Mo, G, and a new person, Shan. TN-sensei and J-sensei instructing.

I partnered with Shan for this class. She isn't actually new per se - she's had around 5 classes, back in October apparently. It must have been on days when I wasn't there.

We did some uchikomi; I ran her though ippon-seoinage, osotogari, and ogoshi. She remembers ippon-seoinage best of the throws.

The throw for the class was kouchigari. Sensei emphasized the timing for this one. You step, then pull and sweep and the same time. Very tricky to get it right.

At the end, the others did randori while Shan and I did some more uchikomi.

It was a pretty good class overall!
