Judo adventures 4.17

Attending: Me, M1, Na, Mo, and Eth, and a new kid. TN-sensei instructing.

We did newaza today. Started with a turnover. From front when opponent is in turtle, grab belt with your left hand, scoop their arm with your right, put right knee up. Then move to the side and turn them over.

Second was from the side. Grab collar with your left hand; scoop under arm with right and place hand on back of head. Grab foot/pants with left hand. Then turn over.

We also worked on kesa-gatame and transition to other hold downs.

Little bit of newaza randori at the end.

Not much to say about today's lesson. The weather was kind of crap so I had considered not going, but it turned out to be just wet, not slippery, so I figured I might as well.
