Uchikomi first. Then we did some grip drills.
It was the same grip drill that we worked on Saturday; that was a small class, so it's good that we revisited it. We did the first one, where you push with the left hand, grip with your right, then also left, and then move to the side to force them to go into a position that you can grip their lapel.
Then we did the second variation, where you push with your left hand, then grip their right sleeve, and then grip right with your second hand, and then grab the lapel in a cross grip.
TN-sensei recommend using the second variation as a setup for sumi-gaeshi. I was working with G, so it was hard for her to do, but she did manage to get the motions right for that in the end, so that was cool.
Some randori at the end. I did a round with G, and then called it quits. I thought about doing a bit more, but eh.
There is no class on Monday. I will need to decide if I want to do a Tuesday and Thursday for that week, or if I'll just do Wednesday only. The downside of Tuesday and Thursday is that they are earlier, 7PM instead of 7:45. I would need to leave the house at 6:20. And they are also only 1 hour class. But I'm very interested in seeing what the Fundamentals class is like.
