Judo adventures 4.08

Attending: Me, M1, M2, Mo, Eth, Ma & Jo, Na, Jaz & a guy whose name I didn't catch. J-sensei, T-sensei, N, and Si were there. TN-sensei instructing.

Today was mostly about ouchigari. It was primarily just doing that one, throwing on the mat. TN-sensei did have some suggestions that I found helpful.

First, while you lift on the first step, on the second step you bring your hands downward. This pulls your opponent down and is destabilizing.

The second thing he mentioned is something that I always forget - that your foot should move like a circle when you're doing ouchigari. I think if I try to do that every time it will help.

Then rounds of randori. I only did one round, with Mo.

M2 got hurt during randori with M1. I'm not sure if it was anything major, but hopefully he'll just need to ice the knee a bit. We'll see.

Wasn't in the best of moods tonight, but I'm glad I went anyway. It was a productive class.
