TN-sensei will start with us on Monday.
We started off with turnovers. The goal was just to attempt something. I didn't really remember anything at all - sometimes I could get a hand in, but I'd forget which way to turn. Then we worked on a version where you grab the person by the belt, then grab underneath them at the lapels, and use momentum to roll and turn them over.
We worked a little on escaping from a figure 4 foot hold. It's... tricky. You basically have to get in close and try to push it off. But if you're successful, you can go into a hold down.
Then uchikomi. We worked on basic uchikomi, then uchikomi for de ashi barai, then ouchi-gari, and then for osotogari and osoto-otoshi. Ouchi-gari is very tricky and I found myself getting very frustrated. Osoto-otoshi is... kind of hard and kind of weird; it's for situations where you can't reach to do an actual osoto-gari, so your foot just goes down the side, reaches the floor, and then you reap.
I think I broke one of my toes while doing an osoto-otoshi. At first I thought I just cracked it, but it's very painful and I can't move it without it hurting a lot. I don't have any tape, but I might try using a normal band-aid on it. Going to have to buy some medical tape tomorrow.
I'm feeling very frustrated about it, to be honest. The third goddamn class and I managed to hurt myself again in a very stupid way.
I think I'll take exercising light tomorrow. I'll need to rest my foot, but also I won't have time to do much anyway - too many tasks to do and errands to run, and I want to do another pass of my IIBB fic, because I don't know which date I will be assigned for posting and if it's the 12th I won't have much time to finish editing.
