Judo adventures 3.46
Feb. 1st, 2025 06:49 pmAttending: Me. T-sensei and J-sensei instructing.
The weather was very bad, and there was a competition down in Calgary, so that explains why I was the only person who showed up. But it worked out pretty well.
We did a series of intense upright. Basically working through throws and variations of throws, targeting places where I was weak. No new material really, but it was good to review.
I really appreciate that I was basically able to have a private class. And since J-sensei was there, I was able to do throws on him, while T-sensei could observe and recommend changes. That was very helpful.
There was some speculation that TM-sensei would come here to teach full-time. He's accepted a position in Japan, so that won't be happening. Kind of a bummer, because it doesn't solve our problem, but I don't think we would have been able to pay him what he was worth, so there is that.
Also I found out that C won silver at the Saturday tournament.
