Judo adventures - board meeting

Went to a board meeting tonight. Non-board were invited to attend. Turns out most of the board wasn't available, and also most other people (parents etc) didn't come. So it was me, VP, Ry-sensei and Ri-sensei, and TJ.

Discussed various things, including
- Plans for the next 6 months
- Possibility of taking on TM-sensei as a paid instructor
- General SMART goals for the club
- Developing a self-defence class
- Our ex-instructor's poor behaviour at a training camp this weekend, including ignoring kids from our club in a really rude way (!!)

I'm kind of concerned about long-term for the club. Like, if we take on TM-sensei as a paid instructor, that takes up money. But if we don't take him on, we'll still have difficulty paying our lease and might need to move out of our space. This is partly because classes have been reduced; we don't have Tuesday and Thursday classes any more, and the class for the youngest kids has been completely dropped, as well as the homeschool class that was previously offered. If we had him available, we could offer these things. Theoretically.

It was a very informative meeting, though I still am very uncertain about the direction things are going to go.
