Attending: Me, VP TJ, C, misc kids, with also Ri-sensei and N (T-sensei's son) in student roles toda. Instructing: T-sensei, TN-sensei, and Ry-sensei.

Newaza. Worked with turnover technique. Use right hand to pull up belt, then grip with left. Grasp collar with right. Put top of left foot as far under as possible; use leverage to flip them over. Reach with right hand across their neck and toward their left armpit. With some adjusting, you can get them into a hold down.

Next, a way to bring them down. Start upright; step left. Put right foot as if to sesai; bring left hand up sharply to break balance, and bring them down with right. You end up with them on their knees, your right hand on their collar, threading under their arm - this gives lots of opportunities for chokes and armbars.

Groundwork randori. Partnered with VP, Ry-sensei, Ri-sensei, and M3's kid, Mo. Working with Mowas interesting, because she's tiny compared to me, but she's very skilled and super strong. M3 won't be coming back to class for a while because he had surgery pending, but hopefully next year.

TN-sensei will be with us on Wednesday as well.
