Judo adventures 3.9

We did some groundwork to start; worked on transitions, hold-downs, and the bow and arrow choke. I partnered with TJ for that. This particular choke is still challenging; I have difficulty getting the roll right. But I guess it just takes practice.
Then we did some uchikomi. Up and down the mat, and then final throw. Morote-seoinage, ippon-seoinage, and koshi-guruma. Koshi-guruma is the easiest for me to do on TJ out of those three. Sensei recommended that I do the trip version, where you place your foot on the outside of your opponent's right foot, rather than the classic square foot placement.
A little bit of randori at the end. I managed to get in some good throws, and also throw-to-armbar combinations. I'm happy with how that went.
Sensei keeps asking if I want to compete, go to a tournament, whatever. No thanks. :V I did tell him that like, maybe if there was something local. But I'm not travelling and spending that money just to get my ass kicked. :V Though what I really would like to do would be to go to a kata-focued event. Ah, well.
