Attending: Me, L, Kv, Co, SJ, C, Kz, Mr, H, Ca, and the new kid, B. Sensei instructing.

We did something new in warmup; forward breakfall. Not forward roll breakfall, but just falling flat. I'm not sure if we've done that one before. Anyway, your arms are parallel in front of you - not out, but up close, like | |. And then you just fall forward, and land on the | |.

The class was all santaku today. I paired with Kv for that. Procedure: Done when opponent is in turtle. Grip opponent's belt and tuck your hand inside the back of the collar of their gi. Bring foot on same side as the hand holding the belt (let's say right) into the gap between opponent's knee and elbows on your right side; bring knee on your left side into the space between shoulder and head. Go as tight as you can; ideally your foot and knee touch.

Next, grab their arm (left side) and roll to the right. After rolling, pull their arm up and lock your legs; this traps them. And then you scoop their other arm, and turn to your right in order to elevate your hips. In competition, that will start the count.

This probably isn't a very good description. But eh.

We also worked on americana and camora armbars for a bit. Very tricky; have to be careful when doing those.

At the end, we did a little randori. I went with Kv, and then L, and also Mr.

I think I should practice doing planks. Sensei had us doing those at the start of class, and while I was good for a while, I eventually just couldn't hold it at all. If I work up to it, I might get better at it.
