Attending: Me, Co, C, M2 & his kid Ja, and L. D instructing.
Next week's two classes will be the last of D's summer instructing. After that, he's not going to be teaching; he wants to focus on his own development.
TJ was there, sitting out while C did the lesson. He says he's planning to come back in September, but we'll see about that. Hopefully he'll at least work through his punch card. It was nice to have him in class - too bad he had that setback with the injury.
We worked on tai-otoshi again today. First just regular, then with ouchi-gari as a setup for the tai-otoshi. You go in for ouchi-gari, and when they evade by stepping back with their left foot, you're in a good position to move in for the tai-otoshi. And then after practicing that for a bit, we added on an armbar to the sequence after the successful throw.
It was a good class. Good workout. I ended it very, very tired, though. Like, more exhausted than I should be. And it's been very hard to get up in the mornings as well, because I'm so tired, so I'm thinking that I should have a talk with my doctor about it; I'm still on the iron pills, so one would think this issue would have sorted itself out, but... I dunno. Maybe he'll have some ideas. I'll make an appointment tomorrow.
