Judo Adventures - Summer Session 10

Attending: Me, C, and the new guy, Ty. D instructing.

Partnered with Ty for uchikomi. He only knows osotogari at the moment, so we stuck to working on that.

After that, continuation with the armbar practice that D taught us previously. I went with C for a bit, and then switched to working with Ty. No new techniques this time; just continuation of getting the armbar, escaping the armbar, and also preventing escape.

D emphasized using your back to pull, rather than trying to use your arm strength, since your back is much stronger.

Nothing else of note today.

Note to self: Make some judo icons. I found one a photo of Christa Deguchi at the Olympics that I think will make a good one, at the least.
