Judo adventures 2.15

Attending: Me, L, M, A, Se, SJ, C, & V-chan. Sensei instructing.
There was also one new person, Ch! Just a trial run today; hopefully they'll come back - we'll seee. They have a black belt in taekwondo, but haven't done judo before.

Started with some turnovers. I worked with V-chan. We had some difficulty getting it right - it's one of those ones where you grasp someone and roll them over, and then use that to reposition into a hold. Can't remember the exact procedure right now.

Then upright. Started with hopping uchimata. Did some rounds with V-chan, which went fine. Then did some rounds with Ch. That went well too. (Also she's super strong, omg)

Also worked on drop-seoinage. Turn-in for seoinage in which you drop to your knees; positioning requires being as close as possible - between opponent's feet. V-chan wasn't a fan of this one; she found it very difficult (possibly because of the size difference?). It's not my favourite variation either, but we managed it.

Randori after that. Groundwork round, then upright. Did both with V-chan. She really tired me out. orz And then I did one round with C; I was pretty exhausted by then. Didn't really manage to get anywhere with either of them, but I also didn't go splat all that much, so there is that.
