Judo adventures 2.5

Attending: Me, M, D, F, N, SJ, and C. R-sensei instructing.

Uchikomi class today. So, business as usual in that regard. I'm coming to the conclusion that I prefer a Tues/Thurs schedule, but at the same time, I need the instruction that we get on Mon/Wed.

Partnered with M for setups. Then did some moving uchikomi with D. It's always interesting working with him, because he's so good at it - like, he really knows what he's doing. (Then again, brown belt. So.)

L showed up halfway through. Not to do judo; just to watch. Apparently he was here on Monday and pulled something, so no judo for the rest of the week, but he wanted to say hi anyway.

We did some randori later on. I did a round with F. Then went with R-sensei for a bit. And... ugh. He got me with a footsweep, and I'm not really sure what happened, but I... hit it? Fell on it badly? And it hurts. I ended up sitting out the rest of class, except for a bit at the end where we did a round of uchikomi and then cooldown.

So far, it doesn't look swolen or anything, and I can put my weight on it (though I'd rather not). So I'm just going to RICE it for now and assess it tomorrow.

This is seriously the worst possible time for me to hurt one of my feet, though. What with going on vacation on Monday and all. UGH. Well, I guess I'll just have to... do my best to rest. [/pinches the bridge of his nose]
