Attending: Me, VP, C, D, M. F supervising.
First, we reviewed the new throw that we learned last class (and which I still don't recall the name of, alas). It's pretty challenging, but I think it's growing on me now. Depends on the partner, I guess.
After that, reviewed camora/americana bar/hold. Pretty simple, not much to say about that one. It's the kind of thing where it doesn't come up much - usually if you're in a position for that, you're more likely to go in for a side control hold. But F gave a suggestion - if you get a hold on your opponent's lapel, they'll think you're going to do something there; so they'll lift their arm - which will give an opportunity to get your arm in the correct position for the americana.
After that, review of the bow & arrow choke. Just briefly, though, since the roll kind of takes up a lot of room and we didn't have proper space for it.
Groundwork randori after that. I did a round with D, which was... whew. Tough. This guy is really good, man. :V
Also did a round of upright randori. I went with VP, didn't really get anywhere, though there were several attempts. It was fun to watch the others, though. C and D did a round together, and C managed to do a really impressive throw on him (not sure which one, but it was one of the big ones). Seriously beautiful, man.
I had to nope out a bit early due to needing to get home at a reasonable time, but I'm looking forward to next week.
