Judo adventures - Class 73

I was feeling a bit better today, so I decided to go to class. (Class 72 was skipped)

Attending: Me, VP, D, M, M2, Ke, G. Also, F was finally able to make it to a class! Sensei was instructing as usual.

Grip drills first, then throw drills. Setups down the mats, then final throw onto the crashmat. First ippon-seoinage, then uchi-makikomi, then a combination of osoto-gari and ouchi-gari (I... think, can't quite remember.)

The uchi-makikomi is a really interesting throw, but challenging because of the way you sort of have to fall along with the person you're throwing. The way you finish, partially on top of them and with their arm in your grip, is neat. I don't think I'd want to attempt this one without a crash mat, though. At least, not yet.

Gonna have to work on my foot placement in general. I keep not getting it right. Feel like I need to slow down a bit, concentrate on that more.

Did a couple rounds of randori with VP. Made an attempt at a drop throw, but it didn't quite work out. :V Did manage to get her with an ogoshi, tho'.

There's going to be some kind of meeting next class. I suspect it'll be an announcement that next year we'll be moving to a permanent location, but we'll see.
