Judo adventures - class 71

Attending: Me, VP, J, G, M, Ke, D, MA. Sensei instructing, aaand... T-sensei assisting!! He's back from the Northwest Territory for a little while for a visit. :D It was so nice to see him.

Nice big class today! I was surprised and pleased.

Upright class today. We worked on grips and obtaining grip, and then segued into lapel grip -> morote-seoinage, then lapel grip -> left-handed ippon-seoinage.

I was partnered with VP, and it was very challenging 'cause it was so short. Sensei recommended that, when I do the full throw, I do it as a drop throw. That did work out a lot better, but since I haven't done that much (just in... one class, I think) it's tricky. Will need to practice more.

Randori: Did a round with VP, then J, then D, then M. With J, I didn't really get anywhere, but it was still super fun. He's missed a few classes, and I've missed him! He threw me around a lot, but ah well, I need to practice falling, anyway. :V The round with D was challenging - I did manage to throw him a few times, and he had some tips for me about foot placement (placing it on the outside of the opponent's when I turn in - so if I get the balance right, it helps bring them over) which is something we've covered buuut I always forget to do it. :V As for M - I managed to throw him twice! He was going easy on me, but yeah. :D Hooray~

Great class. I'm so tired now, though. orz
