Judo adventures - Class 03
Sep. 13th, 2022 10:40 pmWhooo, class again! Ever since the last one, I kept thinking about how much I was looking forward to it. (Even if I was very, very sore after the last one, haaaa.)
Some people were away, so it was a very small class today; just me, J, and L. There are some advantages to a small group - more room for direct one-on-one instruction.
We did some chokeholds and submissions and whatnot. Very fun! And the warm-ups included some movements that I think I'll easily be able to translate to doing outside of actual class, incorporating it into my regular workout. Wish I could remember the terms so I could look up in more detail later (homework!) but maybe that'll come back to me later.
I think I'm going to have to learn to French braid my hair. A regular braid wouldn't be secure enough, I think. Either that, or cut it. I can tie it back well enough, but there are some mat exercises where it keeps getting trapped between the mat and my gi no matter what I do! Such a pain. So... gotta' figure something out.
