Judo Adventures - Class 01

Had my first judo class tonight!

Gosh, that was fun. I was a little bit nervous at first (well, okay, very nervous, as I expected) but the sensei is very nice and everyone else was friendly too.

Anyway, it was a great time. I've always wanted to try out some flavour of martial arts, and had narrowed it down to either Judo or TKD - now that I've actually given it a go, I'm sure I made the right choice here.

I'm very excited, and looking forward to the next class! I'm going to take this on as kind of a trial thing - go for three months, then re-evaluate how I feel, and continue after that if I'm still having fun.

This's going to suck up some of my time, of course, buuut it isn't as if I do much on weeknights anyway. Might as well spend it doing something like this!

Oh nice! Do keep us posted about how you like it...I exist in a perpetual state of "it sure would be nice if there was literally any form of exercise I enjoyed and managed to do consistently" and sometimes I wonder if the structure of something like martial arts would work for me.

\:D/ Will do! So far (based on just two classes, lol) I feel like - yes, I'm super sore, but I can hardly WAIT to go back!! :D

I think that if martial arts sounds at all like something you'd be interested in, then it's at least worthwhile to take a look at what's available in your area so you know what the options are, yeah!

The judo and TDK orgs up here offer the first one or two classes free, so it's possible to give it a go and see if it's your thing before committing. IDK if that's typical, but it wouldn't surprise me.
