yuuagoDid some geocaching today. This one was a tricky find in an easy location. Took me a while to find it, because I turned out to be looking in completely the wrong place. Ahh, well. ;p But at least I figured it out! Teeny tiny magnet cache, very easy to miss it. Glad I was able to log that one.
The Wonders of the World challenge is over; unfortunately, I never did get that last stamp that I needed in order to complete part 1 of it. The idea behind the challenge was very cool, but I feel like it's not suitable to all locations - I could see it working very well in a mostly-urban area with a sizeable active geocaching community, but up here there are some factors that made it not work out so well. Like bears. And microcaches in the woods (augh!). And stamps getting randomly-assigned to caches that are way out in hard-to-access locations and probably aren't actually there any more.
So! What this means is that I was able to clear some things from my "to look for" list that I probably wouldn't have been able to find anyway, and can limit myself to stuff that is probably still there rather than "somebody found it in 2020, maybe it still exists". And also I can avoid tramping through mud. (...Maybe.)
