yuuago+ Went geocaching earlier this week. It was an extremely long walk. Upside: the trails look very nice this time of year! Downside: Once I got to the general area, I spent a lot of time thrashing around in the snow, and ultimately didn't find anything. Didn't realize it would be that deep! Whoops. Ah, well, some other time....
+ Watched The Circle/Der Kreis(2014), a docudrama about the gay scene in 1950s Zurich. It's centred around a group who were involved with a magazine publication (The Circle of the title), especially one couple in particular. There was a whole lot going on at the time - social/drag events, murders, smuggling copies of the magazine into Germany... Part of it is drama enactment, and part of it is straight-up documentary. Anyway, I found it very interesting. Not a new film, so probably a lot of you have already seen it, but if you haven't, I think it's worth checking out.
+ There's been a lot of Arthurian stuff on my tumblr dash recently, and man, it reminded me of how much I used to enjoy all that. Like, I'm very glad that I left academia, but there's a part of me that misses medieval literature very much, and Arthurian stuff in particular. I should haul out my copy of Le Morte Darthur one of these days and go through it again....
