Just watched the 1998 film production of the musical Cats.

I think if this had been on my radar when I was a teenager, I would have absolutely loved it. It's the kind of thing that's perfectly calibrated to my tastes at that time.

But I'm sure I would have annoyed absolutely everyone in my life with it. ;) So maybe it's a good thing that I didn't know about it.

o gosh, that was teenage me age 14 to 16 (..to 21, to a revived interest now, but absolutely my LIFE back then). I listened through the whole video soundtrack lately and I'm sort of promising myself a rewatch of the DVD at some point when I can settle to it. Aha I'm clearly still ready to annoy everyone with it, very excited you watched it:D

Fandom-wise it was my biggest thing up til that point and in some ways never surpassed -- so it seems I like fandoms with masses of characters and potential relationships and a very undefined/optional sandbox for a plot to play with!

It's so delightful, though. I'm really glad I got around to it eventually.
