Just watched the 1998 film production of the musical Cats.
I think if this had been on my radar when I was a teenager, I would have absolutely loved it. It's the kind of thing that's perfectly calibrated to my tastes at that time.
But I'm sure I would have annoyed absolutely everyone in my life with it. ;) So maybe it's a good thing that I didn't know about it.

Date: 2019-10-13 07:12 pm (UTC)Fandom-wise it was my biggest thing up til that point and in some ways never surpassed -- so it seems I like fandoms with masses of characters and potential relationships and a very undefined/optional sandbox for a plot to play with!

Date: 2019-10-14 05:18 am (UTC)and lmao, I've got a few friends who knew each other in middle school and yeah they went through a Cats Phase together, so now they can break into very dramatic poetry at the drop of a hat. makes for a fun party trick, though!
