yuuagoSo, this fic by Wavewright62 has been up for a while, but I only got around to reading it just now. It's one of the best SSSS fics that I've read in a while - probably one of the ones I've liked best in general, really. I'm always down for a story set during the first months of the apocalypse, with people pulling together to get through it. :D
The title makes it seem a bit unsuited for reading in summer, but it's actually not very holiday-centric at all. It's set around the same time as the SSSS prologue, so we end up at that time of year.
Sit tight for worldbuilding, original characters, angst and tragedy, and various canon-typical things. And a whole lot of curry, of course. And it's on the long side, clocking at 27k!
Even if you aren't familiar with Stand Still Stay Silent, I think it's pretty easy to enjoy this one as a "found community during the apocalypse" story. It sets down all the relevant details pretty clearly, and since it takes place on the other side of the world from the original canon, you don't need to be familiar with any of the SSSS characters or their plotlines.
