Lalli's mom is really sweet! <3

Though all that affection is... ahaha in its original context he probably found it a bit Much. (And then now, reliving the smoochies and face-squishes after so long... ouch, my heart.)

I never really gave much thought about the relationship Lalli would have with his parents. For such a long time, we only knew anything about grandmother Ensi - and even that wasn't much, just a few scattered details, a character design, and then a few lines of dialogue. So, for me, it's kind of new to think of him as having actual parents.

It's neat to see the Hotakainens together like this. (Minus Onni and Tuuri, for what I'm sure will be plot-related reasons....)


I really want to know all the details of what's going to go down, but obviously we're going to have to wait a while. Time to flop on the floor, stare at the ceiling, and wish we had that info right now!

You know, I really understand those people who don't read the daily updates. There are a few out there who wait until a chapter is complete, and then read it. And then wait again. I could never do that, but I completely understand it.

There are so many possibilities, and I bet that no matter what we think is going on, our guesses will only be partly correct. xD

I am like, SO emotionally conflicted about these pages! Like, every new one is another excuse to squee about tiny Lalli and his town and his family, and to see Emil and Reynir squeeing about it (I'm DYING at their faces when Lalli's mom calls him "Bunny", and Reynir's continued excitement to see tiny!Onni). But then the stuff with Hilja, and the fact that we know something bad is about to go down and leave their parents dead...augh, my heart!

Also, a realization I just had: we saw gravestones for Lalli's parents and Onni + Tuuri's dad (and maybe their mom has one too that just didn't make it into the panel). BUT not one for Ensi. So whatever is about to happen, it remains unclear if it's going to end with her dead, or something...worse. (Kade Ensi?)

Anyway I am also very impatient I want to know NOW!

No kidding! So much cute, but also... so many implied things that we can't untangle yet.... Mrrrrr.

Hum, I hadn't even thought about how we didn't see Ensi's gravestone. :O That could be nothing, but it could be Something.....
