I made pączki today~! Was worried that they wouldn't turn out right, but they definitely turned out fine. I'm so glad.





I think I overfilled them a bit, heh. Going to have to be more careful about that next time. Clearly this means I need to make more. ;p

Made raspberry this time, but next time it'll probably be lemon, since that's my favourite. And I'll dust them with powdered sugar next time; I like them better that way.

My grandmother used to make these, but since she never really wrote anything down, I had to use a different recipe. I used this one - they're baked, not fried, and it's all a lot easier than I expected it would be.

Anyway, they're delicious, and this was an excellent use of my time. :D

:D Teeechically the bakes version isn't quite as traditional, I guess, but it definitely makes them easier for me. It was the main factor in deciding to try them.
