Today was kind of blah, in addition to feeling unwell (still), so I'm just going to try to focus on the positive:

☆ Practised some driving today. Did Not Die. My turning is going more smoothly. Parallel parking is... uh... improving. Didn't go for very long today, but I'm pretty satisfied with how this session turned out.

☆ My glasses continue to amaze me. ...Probably more than they should, because I don't wear them as regularly as I should, since I only need them for distance. But. Y'know. It's still highly amusing to put them on and suddenly everything is in HIGH DEFINITION.

☆ The postcards that I mailed from Victoria are starting to arrive at their destinations. Yay!

☆ The inktober sketch that I doodled today turned out pretty much exactly the way I wanted it to. That almost never happens, so, yay. <3 I'll be posting these in batches... uh... when I can be bothered to scan them. Yes.

☆ Stephen King's IT continues to be a delight (I'm only about 1/3rd through it at this time). And it's really making me want to try my hand at writing horror again. Such a fun genre! So difficult to write! Well, we'll see.

I was exactly the same way when I started wearing glasses - it was AMAZING how much I could suddenly see; how many things I noticed that had simply been invisible to me before.

Also - driving. Good to see that you're satisfied. It's a good feeling, even if driving itself is still not on your list of things you like doing. Practicing helps, and I hope it'll help you feel more comfortable about driving, too.

... and send me some of your skill and courage with practicing, ok? I keep avoiding practicing, even though I should practice much more.

Glasses can be amazing am I right. OMG this month is the first year without owning glasses and I wonder when I will have the motivation to buy new ones. Technically I need glasses but I tend to stop wearing them, having a slightly different view on the world (especially stepping down stairs is a pain sometimes) but being content with it.

I lost the ones I had and never found them back (strange how things can disappear in a subway but I stopped wondering about it). What was bugging me the most was that I just had them for a couple of months .__.

But yeah when I was still in school I was always surprised how sharply I could read the board.

Oh you are a fast reader when you have already managed so much of the book. I am l glad you like it. I find myself during every King book at the point where I want to write a story like he does. Just in case you need another recommandation: Revival is also a wonderful book from him :)

Oh yes when I had to spend more time on the train or the sub I got more reading done than now. Sure nowadays I still can read complete days away but usually it takes me longer to finish a book.

Same here. I have to search for a whole list of his works and mark which ones I have read and which not. Might be an intersting list and I slowly lose the overview of his works :O
