Weird and more weird

Today was so odd.

I completely slept through my alarm, and by the time I was awake, I'd missed the bus to work, and it was too late to catch the next one. (And I couldn't catch one later than that, because there are only two buses that go out to site). I was feeling kind of unwell anyway, so I just called in sick. But this is all highly unusual, and just, yeah.

Still have that "I'm going to get sick but I'm not actually sick yet" feeling. You know, that weird feeling in your nostrils and throat when you're not sick YET but you will be. Everyone in my family has some kind of bug, but I don't have it full force... yet.

So - stayed home when I hadn't expected to, slept most of the day, all of it makes for strangeness. Oh, well.

But I did finish a fic. Grain and Fish - Russia/Norway, 18+. It's probably the weirdest thing I've ever written. It was fun, though. Definitely not the fic I had expected to work on today, though. I have some aRTD stuff that's allllllmost drafted, but not quite done yet... I guess revising was easier to do today than anything that would require actual brain power.

This week's SSSS has been REALLY INTENSE and I imagine that we'll get more of the same next week. Fffwuh. On the other and, lots of interesting things going on, and it looks like soon we might learn more about how Icelandic magic works in this world. That's great for me, because I'd love to write more stuff with Reynir and magic and so on, but I'm reluctant to do so when I'm not sure how it's supposed to work in the canon. At least when it comes to Finnish magic, we have more of an idea, so writing Lalli hasn't been too difficult.

Oh man hasn't it though? I love how quickly everything went to hell. One minute you're enjoying inedible sludge, and the next even the cat's screaming. I'm curious as to how effective Reynir is going to be with his untrained Icelandic magic. Also why Mikkel and Sigrun are so badly effected, while Tuuri and Emil seem to be fine.

These updates, man. I just kept being like MINNA R U TRYING TO MAKE US KEEL OVER from all this craziness. I have no idea what's going on with Mikkel and Sigrun, I just ??? I can't think of any reason for it, especially now that we know that Emil is conscious instead of knocked out too. Waiting for next week is gonna be torture [/flops over dramatically]

Maybe taking a sick day while "sick but not sick" will help prevent it from turning into "sick and sick". Similar to how returning to life when you're "not sick but sick" sends you right back into "sick and sick".

I've been wanting to ramble about SSSS for a while now; it's been driving me crazy! I nearly left a comment on the comic site itself, argh!

Honestly, I am mostly upset about kitty. Poor little kitty baby! And poor little Emil getting his perfect hair pulled out of shape~

I need SSSS icons, yo.

Hmm, maybe. Hopefully it'll turn out that way. Especially since I spent most of the day resting, instead of running around like I usually would on an off day.

NGL, I agree, that poor cat. I mean, to react like that, she must be TERRIFIED.

I've been thinking of doing an SSSS Icon batch but haven't out of... mostly laziness. Maybe I should get un-lazy.

unfortunately, kitty doesn't have enough screen time. if i was making this comic, it'd just be kitty faces and closeups in every panel. one reason i dont write comics.
