Is that random hobo... Onni... I REALLY HOPE IT'S ONNI. I mean, it does look kind of like him, and the author's note does hint at it, so I really really hope I'm correct because AHHHH.

Man, of all the characters I did not expect to become attached to, but totally did, Onni is it. POOR TERRIFIED PROTECTIVE BIG BROTHER. I want to give him a hug. A huge one.

Well, I suppose it could be someone else - especially since, of all people, Onni really isn't likely to leave somewhere safe - but... hmm, it would have to be someone who hasn't been introduced yet, in that case. Which is possible of course, but. Hmm. HMM.

(Though I really, really want it to be Onni because I like him a lot and want to see more of him and aaaahhhaskdfjkk.)

WHICH REMINDS ME that I should... write more of that dumb self-indulgent thing I was writing with him in it. And also do that Onni/Reynir thing that I kind-of-sort-of discussed with Folie a little. And maybe some genfic too? Though I'd want that to be Onni-and-Lalli magic-y stuff, and I kind of want to wait for my spellbook to get here before I write anything more with Finnish magic in it, just because I think it'd be a great source of inspiration (though I guess I could always re-read some specific bits of the Kalevala, but eh. Ehhhh). But ARRGHH it isn't here yet! And Salakirjat mailed it later than I expected! And I have no idea how long it'll take to get here! It's been a very long time since I've received any, like, packages from Finland, I don't know how long it would take -- oh, well, whatever. [/puts hands in the air] WHATEVER.

But back to the point. If that is Onni - and I think it is/want it to be - wtf is he doing hobo-ing around outside the Västerström residence?! WTF dude, aren't you cold?!

The good thing is, we'll probably find out tomorrow, but....

This is such big development, like... woooow. At some point someone on the chat said they were as uncomfortable as "Onni on an express train to China" which is a) a great metaphor and b) really sums him up a lot I think.

(Warning: Incoming headcanons) I feel like he's the sort of person who uses routine to deal with things, or maybe to avoid dealing with things. Like, that's part of why he never wanted to leave Keuruu, because he had his routine and it let him feel like he was managing just fine, would would he change anything? And now this. AND NOW -- THIS. Like things are CHANGING again (I don't think Onni likes change very much).

But yes I want to hug that big doofy Finn for being brave and going ALL THE WAY TO SWEDEN just to talk to his siblings~~ I'm also glad he might get a bigger part in the story! <3

You might be onto something with the whole... routines thing. Safety in routines. IDK. He definitely doesn't seem to like change, that's to be sure.

I'm glad. :'D I sometimes have difficulties expressing myself so freely - usually I end up backdating stuff like this, because I'm embarrassed - but I'm trying to be less shy about it.
