✿ I was going to write a big long entry about something specific, but then suddenly forgot everything I was going to say. ... Oops?
✿ It's starting to get cold in the morning. Autumn is looming. Chaucer is tweeting about pumpkin spice. I'M NOT READY FOR SUMMER TO BE OVER. I love autumn, but I am not ready for the start of winter darkness again. Nope nope nope.
✿ And speaking of which, it's getting closer to the time of year when I always get incredibly homesick for Nova Scotia. There are few things I love more than Halifax and Wolfville in autumn - even late autumn, when it's crisp, but not too cold, and not a hint of snow. I wish I could do a Halifax trip this year - since my plans for Chicago have been set aside for another year, autumn is open. But I should probably save the money for Sweden next year. I have a feeling that I will have to pay more for the flights than usual, especially if I want to make double-sure that I won't end up stuck overnight in Toronto on the return trip again.
✿ There was a notification on twitter that the first load of the Stand Still, Stay Silent books have been mailed out - including a load to Canada. I'm so excited. I wonder if mine is in that batch? [/chinhands] Though even if it is, it'd take about a month to get here, probably, considering the post is slow and I live in the middle of nowhere. But ahhh, I can't help but wonder. Best to hold back the anticipation, though. Of course, I fully intend to re-read it when I receive it. :D
✿ Also SSSS-wise, I am in rarepair hell as usual. Anybody up for roasting some marshmallows? On the upside, I also like the most popular pairing in the fandom, so it isn't as if there's nothing for me out there. :D But I do find it kind of funny that I always end up interested in the most obscure stuff. A shipping hipster am I, certainly.
✿ I have nothing more to say... So, here's some music by a fab Canadian musician, flamenco guitarist Jesse Cook: Cafe Mocha. I've seen him live twice, in Halifax both times; his concerts are so good. Hope some day I'll be able to go to one again. <3

Date: 2015-08-20 02:52 am (UTC)I'm flying back to BC tomorrow for a week at my parents' place, and I'm also intensely not ready for the summer to be over! I hope I'll get some nice Okanagan weather while I'm there before I come back to hot, steamy Boston fall!
