Question for you guys- Looking for comm recs

So, I have an account on here, and I want to actually use it. But it's hard to remember to do that, because most (all?) of the people on my flist here who are active crosspost to LJ. So I was thinking that if I had some communities added, maybe it'd be easier to remember to check my DW Flist.

I'll go poking around on my own later, but figured asking wouldn't hurt.

I'm mostly looking for non-fandom comms because Hetalia is still my only fandom right now. Stuff centred around baking and/or crafting = good. Centred around book or film or music reviews/discussion with a non-fandom slant would be excellent. Y'all know my other interests - writing, history, medieval things, Canada and northern Europe, languages... And anything wanky that might provide opportunities for popcorn.giffing is a possibility too.

... So, uh. Any suggestions? It's just, I have this account, and I want to use it.

(While we're on the topic, does anyone have ideas about good places to roleplay? I'm not looking for a game; I like a less structured environment.)

If you don't want to go for a straight-up game, panfandomsandbox is the place I dabble in these days. (I have a Switzerland and Liechtenstein in there every so often.) mixed_muses is also around. They both sort of sprang out of milliways_bar, so a lot of the posts take place in a bar-like setting, but they're worth looking through to see how you'd feel about RPing there once in a while.
