My apologies for the silence. Busy. But there's a long weekend coming up, which should be good.

The possible Stockholm trip has been pushed to next year, in order to make room for a trip to Montreal this autumn. Nothing's final yet; the tickets aren't booked. But, we'll see. It'll be nice to go to Montreal again.

Had an encounter with a troll. The internet kind, not the Norwegian kind. Was... interesting. And tiresome. Blocked 'em, and that took care of the matter, but it was still tedious.

Got my bingo card. Already have a few ideas. Can hardly wait to start writing - but it'll have to wait until the weekend, as always.

Again, sorry for neglecting the flist. I'm really tired.

Stop worrying about the flist, we'll be here anytime you know. :D

Oooh trolls! In the LJ? I thought they died out here a long time ago and moved to Tumblr instead...

This just might be the time to roll up my sleeves and write a truckload of Sweden/Norway because tearing canon apart is, like, my favourite hobby. Or Norway/Sweden, both ways are good. As a matter of fact while I'm at it I might as well do the unthinkable and pair Finland with Russia and dress Mannerheim in a corset - that's a previously proven way of getting a large amount of people reaaaaally really angry over something hilariously unimportant. :D

Heh, there is history to that indeed. Mannerheim is one of our presidents, and the one who lead us in the WWII and Finns consider him some kind of a national hero and the epitome of Finnishness. This despite the fact that he spent little time in Finland, was trained in the Russian army, lead the Whites in our civil war (they won and were right bastards about it). His mother tongue wasn't even Finnish but Swedish - he was an aristocrat who liked nothing better than embroidery (I've seen some of it and damn that man was good with a needle). Somehow this combination is still very well liked among the rednecks.

The easiest way ever to gain free publicity in Finland is therefore to make fun of Mannerheim. Someone made an animation of him as a gay centaur in corset who had a Chinese(?) loverboy and even though the animation was nothing special and it happened years ago, people STILL talk about it. I mean wat.

No need for apologies honey boo! Are you getting a 3 day weekend? I'm so excited for my 3 day weekend!! Ahh!

We should go to Stockholm together! I was planning to go for the fall of this year but Social Security took my money away and it's now been officially pushed back... I was really looking forward to it too.

Oh god. Don't you just love trolls? They are much fun sometimes. What did they bitch and moan about this time?

What's a bingo card?

I wasn't online at the time, but how did the Iron Maiden concert go?

I would hope that if you met a Norwegian kind of troll, you would tell us.

Hope catch some sleep over the week-end.

I'm glad you had fun. Were any songs particularly good and/or with an unusual arrangemant?
