Consta is wonderful. Also, doujinshi.
Jul. 23rd, 2012 09:55 pmSo, I came home today to find a completely unexpected package from Consta. Holy shit, my eyes practically popped out of my head. Totally did not expect it.
Anyway, it was this gorgeous Iceland doujin -

Hot damn, is it ever pretty. I've seen scans of this one, but it's even better to hold it and look through it, you know? It looks even better in person. And ahhh, good gods, I never expected at all ---! ;3; Man, that Consta, what an awesome gal. This really made my day, completely.
Anyway, since I've been meaning to, I decided to take a photo of my small doujinshi collection. I'd intended to after receiving the one I got in the mail a few days ago - hadn't, but then there was this, so...!

The two on the right side of the photo are ones Consta has sent me, haha. But the three Denmark/Norway comics are ones that I bought myself. (And the one on the far left was the one I received a few days ago. I was so worried that my mum would get to the mailbox first - she has a very annoying habit of occasionally opening my mail when I'm not there. Man, that would have been awkward. ... But maybe if she'd found it, she'd have learned to stop opening my mail, heh.)
Sob, what is this. The doujinshi are multiplying. And then there's this event in a few days... I'll be arranging with some friends for an order. I'm kind of nervous, never done this before, but at the same time it's Very Exciting. On the other hand, oh man, it's kind of hard to narrow it down - there's so many comics I want! But I do know that my heart needs this Sweden/Norway comic. And also that I need something by Norrsken on my shelf, how could I not, ahhhh-!
Oh man, I just feel so flail-y about this. All of it. Everything. It's all very exciting!

Date: 2012-07-24 02:10 pm (UTC)Btw I had to leave lots of douji and yaoi manga in Finland when I moved to Iceland. This may have been a big mistake: last time I saw my bookshelf it had been rearranged so that all the homoerotic stuff had its own section. My (rather embarrassingly large) collection of ancient erotica was also neatly lined on other shelves. The suspect is mum, a bookaholic beyond hope and help. I'm guessing she's dug my collection through for something she'd like to read and, while she's been at it, decided to give in to her other hobby which is arranging things in a logical order. Awwwwkwarrrrdddd~

Date: 2012-07-25 11:52 am (UTC)I would probably feel less "Oh no oh yes oh nooo" about this new hobby if I could actually read or make an attempt at reading them... Clearly this means I should start learning Japanese. (Unlikely. But.)
... Alkasjdfk your mother did what. LOL I'm sorry, that must have been incredibly awkward, but it's hilarious to an uninvolved party. :)a
