The job offer went through. Now is the process of getting all the documentation I need before actually getting onto the job site. It's more complicated and annoying than it sounds. And my first day is tomorrow, and I'm kind of panicking about it a bit, though I guess it'll be fine.

I suspect that soon I will be endlessly grumpy due to lack of sleep. I'm going to need to get up at about 4 AM just to get to work, see. Wonderful. :| And there's so much worry of "Shit, what if it turns out that I'm totally incompetent at this and they boot my ass out the door after only a few days". Ugh.

But hopefully (hopefully!) I will be able to get some writing done soon. Yeah, I know, "How can you write when you'll be working?" Well, the bus ride to and from is an hour. I'll probably be sleeping on the way there, but coming home? I expect I'll be awake enough to pound out a few paragraphs every couple days, at least. I expect that all the training I did with learning how to write in a moving vehicle will come in handy.

It's a good thing, too, because an idea popped into my head last night and I'm itching to write it. I'll let it percolate a little more, but not too much. I want to get on that idea. It'll be fun to write... I think. But it's one of those things that's kind've dumb and idficcy so I'll probably see if I can find a prompt that will suit it, and post it anonymously.

On a completely unrelated note, I hope my Finnish friends (and certain friends currently residing in Finland) will have a wonderful independence day :D [Though as I'm writing this, it's about halfway over. Oh, well!]

Oh right. It's Dec 6th today

This is what exams do to my brain.
The second thing they do is make me very creative which is counter productive to studying DX But enough about me, this is your journal entry!
Congratz on job, and best of luck with all the nit-picky pieces of paper work that still have to go through.
I have to admit, I'm jealous of your being able to write in a moving vehicle. You should give me some tips, because a month and a half for me is ridiculous for me, even if the vast majority of the chapter was written on the bus to and from work (because who really wants to study on a bus? ;P)
As for the story I'm now horribly curious as to how your story is going to go. Prompt....let's see...your prompt is marshmallows! Or if you want a more specific prompt, smores...and roasting them over a fire. Is it obvious I need some hardcore fluff in my reading? XD

I'm going all out partying, even though I'm not in Finland atm. TWO candles on the window and I just listened to both the national hymn AND the oath-for-flag song! RADICAL

Congrats again on the job! Try not to worry about it too much. They wouldn't have hired you if they thought you couldn't do it, right? But 4am... ouch. You'll just have to stop staying up past midnight. :p

Hehe, I celebrated by going to the cemetery with a bunch of other students. And candles. And finishing up what's left of my alcohol. And watching the presidential reception. Wonderful indeed. =3=b
