First day of work? Wonderful!

yuuagoSO. I started that new job today, and so far, it's pretty great. I mean, I'm still getting used to things and to a certain degree I still have no idea WTF I'm doing, exactly, but that's all right. I still have a week of training before I have to actually do things on my own. And most of the computer-related stuff, even though it's on a program that I've never used before, is very common-sense.
Hopefully this good feeling will last! ... Though even if I end up not liking it at all, at least it's only for a month, and the pay is good. After this job is over, I'll probably try to get something to tide me over during the Christmas season, and then start looking for work again in the new year (with the government, which was my plan before I went on vacation).
Managed to get some writing done while I was waiting for the place to open this morning, too. I'm on a roll! Not sure if I should count it toward my November work, though. I kind of want to buuuuut... it isn't November yet and that would be cheating, oh la.
(Oh, snap, I need to remember to update the indexes tonight... Man, that fic-meme moves so quickly, it's hard to keep on top of everything sometimes!)
Hmm-mm. It's lunch and I'm stuck in the office, of course, because I can't go anywhere (well technically I could leave but it's in an industrial area and there isn't anywhere to... leave to). I kind've want to work on roleplay tags but it's all NSFW stuff so, er, yeah, nope. WELL. I will figure out a way to entertain myself. I'd work on fic except it's kind of difficult to do that when people are nearby, especially because in situations like these they generally ask what I'm writing and I have to fumble around to an explanation because I can't exactly say "I'm writing about gay countries", haha.
Man. Last couple of days were pretty bad, but I feel so good now. :)a
