... She's kind of right. Ack. Oh, well.
So, here I am, staying up late and writing a journal entry again. I kind of want to take a bath (with my wonderful Lush bubblebath, mm~) but I'm worried I would fall asleep in the tub or something, hah.
Today involved a lot of walking. Because Broadway is closed off for Fringe, the buses have all been rerouted, and I'm not sure where the new stops are. So, I figured, instead of pissing around trying to figure it out, I'd just walk to where I needed to go. Fortunately for me, it wasn't too hot today. I took the route down residential streets because the trees make things cooler.
I headed down to the used book store. Brought with me some stuff to trade in. I ended up getting some more textbooks, and nearly for free, which was good. ... While I was there I looked for stuff on Nordic and Baltic history, but as usual this search was fruitless. Sigh. Very frustrating.
Thennnn went out and grabbed the photo-frames I needed. Yessss. Now my birthdaypresents can be hung up without being damaged. Unfortunately I was a moron and didn't get some.... uh... frame hanger upper things. Hooks? I dunno. Where would you get those, anyway? Superstore? *facedesk* Ah well, my drawings are up on the mantle until I manage to get hooks. And then when I do, I've cleared space above my computer table, right under the world map. Hell yes.
I spent the late afternoon at Fringe. Such excellence~ And I'll be spending more time there tomor- er, today. After I wake up. It'll be a good time. Aaand I'm going to try to get some photos maybe, but I dunno... it's really one of those "you had to be there" things. But ahhhhh, the buskers, the players, the theatre~ It's quite enjoyable.
And now, to bed.

Date: 2009-08-02 07:56 pm (UTC)Hanging up on a wall right? Hooks, as in, actual curved hooks aren't all that appropriate for frames unless you use framing wire, and cheap frames don't always have the loops for attaching wire. The non-flat thumb tacks can work, but only for fairly lightweight things and they'll stick out from the wall a bit farther (which, sometimes I like that effect). Ummm... We always just used a nail though. Most frames have these ridged bars on the back for hanging, and nails fit right into those grooves. It gives you some room to fidget the frame about so it hangs straight. (I feel like I could do some awful picture tutorial on this; I have so many pictures and paintings hung up by different means, orz I'm so laaaame. )
You totally didn't want a tl;dr on that. My bad. *facedesks*
