Jul. 2nd, 2024 05:33 pmWent to a barbeque at the judo club on Saturday. Had a good time. It was actually a combo BBQ + UFC party, so I left as soon as the fights started, since I'm not into MMA. Still, glad I went. It was much cooler at the club than in my apartment, anyway.
Wrote and finished a fic. Feeling good about it.
Went to the Canada Day parade on Monday. It wasn't as good as the one in Drumheller, but that's okay. Clapped a lot for the Ukrainian Cultural Society and for the Wildfire Fighters. Syncrude Emergency Services brought out their Mine vehicles - specifically the Oshkosh fire truck, which is huge. And they had something else, I'm not sure what it was. Looked like an ambulance, but it was the size of an elephant.
And also before the parade there were free pancakes and bannock. Delicious.
Today was meh but I received a call with some good news. Going to see how it folds out.
