Weird and more weird

Today was so odd.

I completely slept through my alarm, and by the time I was awake, I'd missed the bus to work, and it was too late to catch the next one. (And I couldn't catch one later than that, because there are only two buses that go out to site). I was feeling kind of unwell anyway, so I just called in sick. But this is all highly unusual, and just, yeah.

Still have that "I'm going to get sick but I'm not actually sick yet" feeling. You know, that weird feeling in your nostrils and throat when you're not sick YET but you will be. Everyone in my family has some kind of bug, but I don't have it full force... yet.

So - stayed home when I hadn't expected to, slept most of the day, all of it makes for strangeness. Oh, well.

But I did finish a fic. Grain and Fish - Russia/Norway, 18+. It's probably the weirdest thing I've ever written. It was fun, though. Definitely not the fic I had expected to work on today, though. I have some aRTD stuff that's allllllmost drafted, but not quite done yet... I guess revising was easier to do today than anything that would require actual brain power.

This week's SSSS has been REALLY INTENSE and I imagine that we'll get more of the same next week. Fffwuh. On the other and, lots of interesting things going on, and it looks like soon we might learn more about how Icelandic magic works in this world. That's great for me, because I'd love to write more stuff with Reynir and magic and so on, but I'm reluctant to do so when I'm not sure how it's supposed to work in the canon. At least when it comes to Finnish magic, we have more of an idea, so writing Lalli hasn't been too difficult.
