Well, it looks like I'm going on vacation after all.
I was able to find a reasonably-priced flight to Halifax, so I booked it this afternoon. No regrets. I've wanted to go back there for ages, so now I might as well take that chance. So, from November 14th to November 21th, I'll be in Halifax.
It turns out that Symphony Nova Scotia is playing during the time I'll be there, so I'm definitely going to go see that. And Jesse Cook is having a concert, too! Very exciting. I thought I'd never get another chance to see him live, but here it is - and in the same city where I saw him the first time. Oh my gods, I can hardly wait. <3
And of course, I'm going to take a day-trip into Wolfville while I'm there. I wouldn't be able to not do that. Ahhh, I miss it there so much. I want to get coffee at my favourite cafe and take a walk in the Irving gardens and hopefully, if I get the nerve, make my way up to the English department at Acadia to see my former profs.
Well. At least something is going to go right, now. And it means I won't be stuck at home for a week when I take my vacation time off, heh. 'Course, I might pick up a few extra shifts at work for this - I mean, I do have the money to pay for it, no problem, but it'd be nice to have some extra. And it'd also help make sure that things don't fall behind too much.
Regardless, I'll be sure to get plenty of photos while I'm there. I just hope it won't be too chilly! I do remember it being cold, but not too bad.
Another reason I'm looking forward to this is - admittedly - that it'll be a perfect opportunity to get some writing done. Peace, quiet, and relaxation, ahhh yes! I haven't had nearly enough of that lately.
