Super cool story, bro.

Now that I have that out of my system, let's see. What happened today? Well -- I guess, more importantly, what happened yesterday? That's the thing. As I mentioned, my parents showed up for an unscheduled visit. I hate it when they do that. I understand that they were worried, due to my reclusive habits earlier this year, but at the same time it's very frustrating when this happens. Well, I guess I'll have to continue telephoning them every day, no matter if I want to or not, to ensure they don't do this again.
We went out to supper at Nino's, which was nice. At that point I explained that no, I really don't want to go to Victoria with them. Now that it's out, I feel quite a bit better about that whole thing. They tried to persuade me about fifty million times, but I wasn't going to back down on this.
Anyway, they left at 5 this morning. Lovely. I wasn't able to get to sleep afterward, so... er... yes. Stayed up, then napped in the afternoon, and then in the evening I went out to enjoy the festival. It's on until the 8th, if I recall, so I still have a few more days to take it in. I picked up a surprise for Tik, then walked around quite a while. Eventually I found myself watching a performance-painter, who did the most amazing things with spray paint, crinkled magazine paper, and sponge. The fumes got to me after a while, though.
I'm kind of spazzing. Not really, but, ahhgh. Sab is going to be here on the eleventh - that's not even a week. I still have so much preparing to do. Need to get my act together! In the meantime, I need to prepare for school too. I just - ugh, I've felt so lethargic recently. Maybe preparing for this visit will spur me into being more awesome. And by "more awesome" I mean not so lame. I mean, it's all well and good to sleep in for most of the day and then spend your evenings lurking in coffee shops reading comics, but, ehh... it's not so excellent, you know? And I really wish I could get my drive back. ... Well. We'll see.
