[Hetalia] Random thought

While I was watching Project Hail Mary, I kept thinking Ryan Gosling looked like a Hetalia character, but I couldn't figure out who. Then I realized - that's Denmark!

If you look past the facial hair and glasses, in this movie he looks pretty close to how I've imagined Denmark - the kinda' droopy eyes, the thin lips, the nose. Even the hair looks right in the scenes where it's mussed up. And he's got this friendly and approachable smile that looks just right. (Plus the cozy sweater and whatnot also feels suiting, though that is incidental. ...And also I do like it when people draw Denmark with glasses even though that isn't canon.)

And like. Somehow he looks kinda' dumb even when doing Smart Science-y Stuff, which - sry 2 day but that is very Denmark-esque.

I don't get this vibe from Ryan Gosling in his other roles (though to be fair I haven't seen him in much). Likely the hair and the styling are doing some heavy lifting. But I feel like the eyes are the most important part, given they look so right and they're one of Denmark's defining facial features.

It isn't often I come across real people who look close to how I imagine characters. Very surprising feeling. Possibly I will chance my mind later on, but for now I feel like I'm happy with this matchup.
