IMO the translation is really clunky, but the ideas are basically correct. The prosody of the Chinese lyrics is very Classically™ influenced and translating that vibe to English requires finesse. (Actually, it would be funny if someone were to do an iambic pentameter translation...) I did not remember the music video to be sooooo Y2K Mandopop XD
